I'm a day late on those sentiments because I was in Portland yesterday, taking part in the International Food Bloggers Conference. I was there on behalf of a client, Wheat Springs Bakery, and participated in a live blogging event showcasing Oregon products.
Wondering what a live food blogging event is exactly? Take about 200 bloggers who are obsessed with good food, mix in a dozen Oregon-based producers armed with samples of Oregon-made cheeses, chocolates, beers and other yummy foodstuffs, throw them all into a room for 60 minutes and voila! you've got yourself an awesome (and quite tasty) afternoon.
The whole experience has me second-guessing this whole writing children's books thing. Who needs princesses and superheroes when you can taste and write about cheese and chocolate for a living?
Kidding. Sort of. We're still going to London. Promise.
