My sister, Haylee, is home for a short visit, and we're getting our country on tonight at the Morrow County Fair and Pro-Rodeo over in Heppner. Basically it'll be an evening full of cute cowboys and flying bull snot. Throw in a beer garden and other assorted livestock, and you've got yourself a typical Eastern Oregon Friday night.
Tomorrow we're hosting a more refined affair. And by that, I mean we'll be inviting fewer 3,000 pound bulls and all guests will be required to speak in fake English accents. It's my official "Going Away Soiree' even though, technically, I'm not going anywhere for another 38 days and no one in Eastern Oregon would ever say 'soiree.' We play fast and loose with our party titles here.
