Hamlet, the courageous mini pig, and other tales

I was just informed (by a male reader) that all of this clean eating stuff is BOR-ING, and could I please write about something else. So I have placed this must-watch video of Hamlet, the courageous mini-pig, here to distract him (because, as we all know, men can't pay attention to more than one thing at once).

Meanwhile back at the ranch, an update on my adventures in clean eating: I'm officially one week into this little experiment, and I'm absolutely enraptured with the changes I see. My body feels sleek, my digestive track squeaky clean. I've lost a whopping 6.5 pounds, all while slurping down decadent Pumpkin Pie Smoothies. I don't even miss the cheese. Well, that much anyway.

Life is good.

So good, in fact, that I've decided to continue this detox for another week. But I need to spice things up, so I'm looking for some new recipes to try. Anyone have any you'd like to share? Post them in the comments or send me an email. I'll share new favorites here next week.

Until then, happy weekend everyone!

Detoxes are uber-preachy, but I totally appreciate your effort to make over your lifestyle.  I adore the books that set you on this path, and with my foodie-blog, I try to eat one night of red meat, one night of poultry or pork, and one night of seafood.  The rest I try to go vegetarian (and predominantly vegan).  It's been a refocus to only buy quality, non-industrial meats/seafood and really enjoy them.

Some of the recipes that fit into the healthy eating lifestyle:
