You may have noticed I fell off the planet last week. More accurately, I landed smack dab in the middle of God's Country and was too awestruck to even think about writing, or really anything other than marinating in the gorgeous Eastern Oregon sun.
In full anticipation of the reader letters proclaiming someplace other than Oregon as God's Country, let me just state for the record: "You don't know what you're talking about." Especially you, Midwest. Grow yourself a few mountains then we'll talk.
Anyhoo, D and I spent part of the weekend exploring Wallowa County in northeast Oregon. He golfed, I tried not to laugh. Too loudly, I mean. Then we took a drive up to Wallowa Lake. Needless to say, it's one of my new favorite places in the world.
Isn't it gorgeous?
